About
Melanie Beisswenger has recently taken on a position as Asst. Professor at the School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore teaching in the Digital Animation program. Prior to joining academia, Melanie gathered extensive production experience in roles ranging from 3D character animator to senior animator and animation supervisor on feature films, TV commercials and TV shows.
Her credits include the Academy Award winning animated feature film "Happy Feet", the 3D stereoscopic animated feature film "Fly Me to the Moon" and the BioShock game launch trailer.
Melanie received her Master’s in Animation from the Institute of Animation at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart, Germany.
She is particularly interested in story telling through character animation and acting.
Creating a believable and emotional performance that the audience can relate to is what she aims for in her work.
